The lightweight plastic impeller in your waterpump is constantly heat-cycled and exposed to coolant, and failure could have expensive consequences, that don`t bear thinking about.
Some specialists (LN Engineering for one) recommend a 5 year or 100,000km replacement interval - and while the factory doesn`t state a replacement interval in the service handbook, this doesn`t feel unreasonable.
This high-performance German-made Geba pump is a direct replacement for your Mezger engined 996, and an upgrade for the M96 powered variants due to increased flow.
