The stock shifter cables tend to wear down, which causes slop in the shifter and, in the worst cases, pop off the transmission during heavy use, leaving you stranded on the road. This shifter cable retainer will keep your cable ends in place and give you peace of mind that your cables will NEVER pop off again.
