This spring loaded clamp, when used in conjunction with hose clamp pliers, allows you to secure the lower AOS hose to the AOS. The location of the AOS makes using a normal worm-drive (or Jubilee) clip almost impossible, so this clamp is essential to avoid a frustrating afternoon in the workshop.
