While the actual in-service failure rate of the IMS bearing in your M96 powered 911 or Boxster is significantly lower than the internet would have you believe, the sad truth is that they can, and do (occasionally) fail - with serious consequences.

There are a range of solutions to the IMS issue - we`re proud to stock the FVD Brombacher ceramic IMS bearing upgrade kit, and, to rent out the tooling to simplify the job.

IMS replacement is a classic 'while-you're-in-there' job while doing a clutch on manual Porsches, or at your 100k service.

The German-engineered and manufactured kit comes with all necessary components to replace both the single- and dual-row IMS bearings in M96 powered (1997-2005) Porsche. It features ceramic bearings and is manufactured with superior seals, lubrication, and materials - designed for high RPM applications. 

Documentation, including torque specifications, is provided with each kit - while IMS replacement is within the capabilities of the competent DIYer, unless you`re confident and experienced, we recomend this work be carried out by a professional workshop, as getting the IMS and/or related engine systems wrong can cause serious damage.
