Undertaking work on the M96 / M97 engines fitted to the 986 Boxster, 987 Boxster and Cayman, and 996/997-model Porsche 911 isn`t beyond the scope of confident DIY`ers, but the need for expensive, specialised tooling for a one-off project puts many people off.

We`re pleased to offer this German-made, professional quality set of BGS Technic timing tools for rental, to allow professional mechanics and confident DIY`ers to rebuild the engines in their Porsches. This kit covers the tools required for timing / disassembly of the 2.5, 2.7, 3.2, 3.4, and 3.6 flat-six engines fitted to the 986/987 and 996/997 generation.

Rental Period: The standard rental period is 21 days from delivery, allowing three weekends (and plenty of weeknights) to undertake the work. If you think you`ll need longer - please reach out.

Refundable Bond: A separate refundable $350 bond will be automatically added at checkout. This will be refunded promptly once the kit is received complete and in good condition.

Shipping: Tracked outbound courier within New Zealand is included, with return shipping your responsibility. Reach out if you`d like us to arrange a prepaid return label.
